Lexical Practice and Training Course: Workbook
The publication is a set comprising an electronic reference aid and a workbook.
The aid helps to solve one of the difficult problems of teaching Russian as a foreign language — the problem of the lexical and grammatical compatibility of words. The lexical and grammatical groups included in the aid are selected on the basis of typical speech situations that arise for native Russian speakers in natural communication and that cause difficulty because of overlapping meanings, different compatibility or different government. The aid provides the interpretation of lexical units of various parts of speech and tasks illustrating the particularities of their use. Each word is presented not in isolation but as a systemic unit, with an indication of the connections it forms with other words.
Completing the written tasks in the workbook will help to consolidate the knowledge gained and to develop written-speech skills. The tasks can be done selectively depending on the learners' needs. The aid contains answer keys, so it is intended both for classes under a teacher's supervision and for learners' independent work. The workbook can be used in combination with any other learning materials.
