The key to Russian culture

The dictionary of linguocultural literacy is aimed at developing linguocultural knowledge and overcoming cultural barriers. The idea underlying the dictionary is the accessibility of linguocultural knowledge, its measurability, and the simplicity of its presentation. In terms of the lexicographic interpretation of its constituent units, the publication represents a new type of linguocultural dictionary. The linguocultural units described in the dictionary are grouped into ten thematic sections. Their semanticization is carried out from a communicative perspective, which allows a foreigner to incorporate these units into their own verbal behavior and understand their meanings in the speech of others. To get acquainted with Russian art, fragments of works of Russian literature and folklore, reproductions of paintings, and photographs of architectural monuments are provided as illustrative material.
